Weather Impacts on Your Fantasy Players (Friday, August 8 to Thursday, August 14)

  • We will see good hitting weather at most parks for the next seven days, thanks to summertime heat and humidity. Many games will be played with temperatures in the 80s. That is not as great as two weeks ago when we had a major heat wave, but that’s still pretty good. There’s one main exception – San Francisco. TARGETS:

    This Weekend’s Best Hitting Environments

    • Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (Friday-Sunday; 85-90 degrees each game)
    • Cleveland at Chicago White Sox (Friday-Sunday; nice and warm with temps 85-90 each game)
    • Chicago Cubs at St. Louis (Friday-Sunday; 92 degrees with a nice dose of high humidity for all three games)

    Targets for Early Next Week:

    • Colorado at St. Louis (Monday-Wednesday; temps near 90 for this series)
    • Minnesota at NY Yankees (Monday-Wednesday; temps 85-88 degrees and pretty humid for all three games)
    • Seattle at Baltimore (Tuesday-Thursday; hot with temps around 91 degrees although there could be a popup thunderstorm on Thursday)

Those are the best games to target. Now let’s see which ones to avoid during the next seven days:
