NFL Week 1 is HERE, baby!!! Let’s lock in.
Dontayvion Wicks Under 30.5 receiving yards (-115) 1.15u to win 1u (ESPNBet)
Wicks is capable of an explosive play, but he’s also not a full-time player, so this line is definitely a bit inflated compared to his fellow WR4s. He should see the field, but the Packers are mostly going to be relying on Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs. Most people are still selling Watson short due to his long history of hamstring injuries, but he hasn’t missed a practice since OTAs began, which has flown a bit under the radar. People are also not as high on Josh Jacobs as they should be. Jacobs had one of the lowest yards before contact last season behind a dreadful offensive line. His situation has improved, and he should get plenty of work on the ground and through the air. Outside of something like a 40-yard bomb, I don’t see Wicks getting more than two targets and thus the opportunity just isn’t there. Plus, both teams might be a bit more out of wack than normal with the game being played in Brazil.
