North Dakota +6.5 @ St. Thomas, 8:00pm EST– St. Thomas -6.5 (-110), 1.1 units– Total Over 151 (-110), 1.1 unitsThis is a Summit League battle between the teams struggling this year as North Dakota is 3-20 against D-1 schools and 1-9 in Conference play, while St. Thomas is 5-15 and 2-9 in Conf. games. St. Thomas is 80th on Off Adj Efficiency at KenPom while ND is #267 however, in Def Adj Eff, St.T is #358 and ND is #356. So they are the worst and 3rd worst teams in the country in Def Eff. The Tommies have the 3rd best Turnover % in the country and rank 83rd in 3PFG% and 114th in 2PFG%, so they are above average at scoring and don’t turn the ball over. This gets matched by North Dakota’s porous defense that is #344 in defending the 3-ball and also #344 in defending the 2PFG. St. Thomas is equally porous on defense as the rank #336 against 3PFG and dead last at #358 defending the 2PFG. One final intersting stat, which leans me to the Over is that both teams take a lot of shots from beyond the arc. 3PFGs account for 43.7% of St. Thomas’ points, which is the 6th highest percentage in teh country, and 3PFG account for 35.8% of North Dakota’s points, which is 70th most. So lots of 3-balls, porous defence on both sides and St.T being the better shooting team has me on the Tommies to cover and the Total to go Over.ADAM KERCKHAERT (@adamkerck)
Toronto Raptors @ Houston Rockets

Pascal Siakam Over 15.5 Reb/Ast (-130) 1.3u
The Raptors will be without their starting point guard Fred Vanvleet for tonight’s game. Without Vanvleet in the line up Siakam will be pushed into a playmaking role for the Raptors. Siakam has stepped up his playmaking in a big way this season averaging a career high 5.2 assists per game with 8.8 rebounds per game. The Rockets do not have much size to match up well against a versatile player like Pascal. The Rockets rank in the bottom half of the league in rebounds and assists allowed per game. Siakam is averaging 8.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists in 4 games without Vanvleet this season. Siakam has hit this number is 6 of his last 10 games and 4 of his last 5. I think we see another all-around performance tonight from Siakam.

Elon @ James Madison
James Madison 1H -3.5 -110 Bet 1.1 units to win 1
I love this play, and I want to go higher units. I’ve been off the last few days though, so I want to just get back on the right track with this one. James Madison has been a better 1H home team than 2H, and Elon is just a bad road team in general. James Madison is also on revenge after getting trounced by 23 @ Elon a little less than a month ago. Elon had no business winning that game, especially by that many points. JMU has a very good offense, but their defense is their weak point. Elon loves to shoot the 3 ball, luckily, that is the area of the court where JMU can defend almost decent. Whatever they give up defensively, they make up for with an offensive rating of 88. They’re also taking this offense against a bottom 50 defensive rated team in Elon. JMU should control this game throughout and I’m hoping to go sweat free tonight. Lean to the 1H O67 too.
