The first Wild Card game of the year is a battle of left-handed pitchers with Detroit starting Tarik Skubal and Houston countering with Framber Valdez. This is purely a play on Tarik Skubal being able to shut down an Astros offence.  Skubal, who is likely to win the American League Cy Young, has allowed two earned runs or less in twelve of his last fourteen starts.  Clearly Houston is the better team, especially on offence however, at this price I’m on the road Tigers.  Currently Detroit is getting 52% of the bets and 65% of the money so I’m happy to be on the side of the sharp money.
