With certain key guys out, we got additional run out of some low-rostered guys. Some others got additional run due to a blowout and starters getting into foul trouble. These guys may not be immediate adds but their performance needs to be noted so that if a spot does open up, we can remember what they are capable of when given additional time.
Let me guide you through the performances and let you know how they may be valuable to your teams.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Thomas Bryant (8% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 32 minutes, 18 points (8-of-12 FG, 1-of-1 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block.
With Myles Turner out, Bryant has filled in admirably, obtaining 12-team value in four of the last five games (or in the games he hit 25+ minutes due to no Turner). He has 33 boards, 41 points, 13 dimes, four triples and five defensive stats. There is one more game of this run for Bryant just before the All-Star break and why not go back to the well?
Malik Beasley (40% rostered)
Tonight’s game: 16 minutes, 24 points (8-of-12 FG, 1-of-1 FT), seven triples, one steal.
He is just outside the top 100 in 9-cat value on a per game basis over the last two months with points, elite triples production and steals. There is not a reason to continue to let him simmer on the wire. If he is available, go get him. It is fair to note the FG% is not always this pretty.
