Welcome to Thursday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds for 2/13! These are the last five games before the All-Star break. With all 10 teams coming off a Wednesday game and plenty of players either nursing injuries or resting on the second night of a back-to-back, we had numerous spot starts and wacky line-ups. Keep that in mind with some of these adds. I’ll be highlighting which players were just one-off performance or if they have staying power. Let’s get into it!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Jose Alvarado, G, NOP (25% rostered)
Tonight: 34 minutes, 18 points (6-of-12 FG, 2-of-2 FT), four triples, five rebounds, eight assists, three steals.
Analysis: The Pelicans will be leaning into tanking operations, or at least even more so than they already have. That means Alvarado could be the starter for the rest of the season. He could provide plenty of steals, treys, and assists in a starting role, just as he did tonight.
