Including the upcoming run for week 19 of Streamer Tidd-Bits, we only have seven more weeks of FAAB left in the 2024 season. As I said last week, now is the time to prioritize protecting your ratios like ERA and WHIP (if you’re so fortunate to be in a position to do so), even batting average too. However, if you need to make up ground in strikeouts and wins, then you need to start taking more chances on two start starters or under rostered single start streamers like the ones we’ve been recommending for you all year long. And because of how much time I try to give our merit based adds before I review them, we only have four more weeks of recommendations left before we wrap that portion of the series up. Don’t worry though, we will be recommending four matchup-based streams for the remaining weeks when that time comes.

Now it’s time for the recaps of our most recent round of recommendations. Our merit—based adds for the week of 7/22 – 7/28 were unfortunately both losses, and I don’t have a whole lot of positive things to say about either one. One of our matchup-based recommendations for the week of 7/29 – 8/4 (Justin Wrobleski) was a victim of the Dodgers’ trade deadline moves and never made his start – N/A. However, Carson Fulmer came through for us against the Rockies at home, going the deepest into a game he has all year (six innings), earning the quality start and striking out eight Rockies. Fulmer is definitely someone I like as a streaming option going forward, but I’m not sure if his ownership in the Main Event will cooperate with our rules (he can’t be rostered in more than 30% of leagues) and therefore I may not be able to recommend him again this year.
