Saturday featured a scant five games, but some injuries created moves to make on top of the usual performance-based goodies that we always get. Let’s hit it.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
De’Andre Hunter, SF/PF, ATL (36% rostered)
Tonight: 25 minutes, 18 points (5-of-9 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), three boards, one 3-pointer
Analysis: There isn’t a lot to this line but Hunter continues to shoot it well, and as long as he’s doing that there’s real fantasy appeal here. Historically it has taken hot shooting streaks for Hunter to be relevant and while an early injury slowed his roll, Hunter has been a lot more good than bad so far. Odds are he’s currently outperforming the last guy on someone’s bench in a 12-team league and while there’s no guarantee he maintains that all year, you could do a lot worse for the time being.
Malcolm Brogdon, PG/SG, WAS (33% rostered)
Tonight: 30 minutes, 29 points (10-of-15 FGs, 7-of-7 FT), 11 boards, three assists, one block, two 3-pointers
Analysis: This doesn’t need an explanation, does it?
