RECAP:

Free Tournament Matchup were largely losers as Sergio made a mess of his round 2 and lost by 1 stroke. Our DraftKings Lineup scored 498 points but the winning lineup in the large field $1 tournament was 693 points! Total for the week was -3.75 units. Top 20 bets were bad!

PREVIEW:

This week is the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island in South Carolina. This course has not held a PGA event since the 2012 PGA Championship. Rory won that event. We don’t good data as far as course history. I did create my model using Strokes Gained data for Difficult Scoring, Pete Dye Design, and over 7400 yards course length. Those are my main categories.

Champ is ranked 119th in Total Strokes Gained on difficult courses in his last 12 rounds and 103rd in Total SG on courses over 7400 yards. Total ranking in my model is 96th. Davis ranks 47th in my model, 43rd Total SG on difficult courses in his last 12 rounds, and 75th in the last 12 rounds on courses over 7400 rounds. But in his last 50 rounds his proximity from 200+ yards he is ranked 5th overall.
