This should be a great Mountain West battle between the Broncos and the Wolfpack. Nevada plays fast, #21 in Ken Pom’s Pace metric, while Boise likes to slow things down and is #245. In playing slow, Boise is very solid defensively, with a Def eFG% allowed of just 44.1%, which is #14 in the country. The Broncos are also the #24 team in Def Reb% while Nevada struggles with Off Reb % at #261, which means the Wolfpack should have less second chance points. If this game remains close it favours Nevada as Boise hits free-throws at just 60.7%, which is #354 in the country, or nearly last. Nevada’s FT% is an impressive 77.5% which is #24. I like Boise’s defense, the fact they play slow to hopefully limit Nevada’s average scoring and keep this game under the 146 Total.
