Duke vs Gonzaga

Gonzaga is just the better team here. Duke probably has the best chance of anybody to compete with the Zags, but I don’t think it’s enough. Duke is the only team that can potentially stop Drew Timme OR Chet Holmgren. They’ll need Mark Williams to do his best to stop them both, but he won’t be able to. I can show you all the stats I want but I truly don’t think it matters. Both of these teams are top 20 in just about every offensive category, but Duke lacks just slightly in the defensive ranks. They’re still good, but more top 50 instead of top 25. The truth is, if Duke want’s to keep this game close, especially in the first half, Mark Williams is going to have to be amazing and is going to have to stay out of foul trouble.
