I’m not a huge fan of rankings relievers for dynasty leagues, mainly because they have much less value in dynasty than in re-draft leagues, in my opinion. Sure, they provide you with your saves (or holds) and they help out in ERA, WHIP and strikeouts (or other pitching categories), but when it comes to the long term health of a dynasty roster and the turnover rate at the position, I do not enjoy assigning a 1 through 30 ranking.

That being said, there did need to be some sort of ranking for relievers. The list is primarily current closers, but I’ve also included setup men (like Cade Smith), relievers in a closer-by-committee (like Tanner Scott) and just guys I like who are one injury away from being elite closers (like Griffin Jax). Reliever is probably where rankings will have the most variance, especially in dynasty leagues, because it comes down to how high do you weigh currently closing versus the age of the reliever versus how well they performed last year versus team expectation versus…well, you get the idea.

The top 10 will probably look pretty similar to other rankings and familiar to anyone who pays attention to the top closers in the game, but once you get into the teens and beyond, I start to get a little bolder with my choices. If you’re thinking long-term, the next two, three or four years, having a guy like Orion Kerkering on your roster makes a lot more sense than it does to roster Kirby Yates or Jose Alvarado or some other 35 year old or older reliever who might close or might not.

Anyways, without commentary, I present to you my top 30 dynasty relievers for 2025.
