According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Doc Rivers has been hired to be the Sixers' new head coach.

Rivers was not without a job for long as he parted ways with the Clippers on September 28, just three days ago. He quickly became one of the most attractive names on the open market and the Sixers were quick to obtain his services. The Sixers have an exciting young core that has some playoff success but the organization is hoping that a new regime can help take them to the next level: a championship contender.
