The Rockets are exercising their team option that will keep David Nwaba under contract for $1.8M in 2020-21.

With around $98M tied up in James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon, the Rockets need to have affordable players elsewhere on their roster. Nwaba fits that at under $2M and he has shown the ability to lock down a consistent rotation role in the past. He is far from the fantasy radar but will be a nice depth piece for the Rockets as they look to get back on track with their disgruntled stars.
