The Kings extended a qualifying offer to Bogdan Bogdanović, making him a restricted free agent.

This move was expected as Bogdanović is one of the bigger names in this year's weak free agent class. There aren't many teams who have cap space but the teams that do have expressed interest in the Serbian shooting guard. The team could still choose to move him in a sign-and-trade but will need to get his approval prior to making such a deal. It seems unlikely that the Kings choose to keep both Bogdanović and Buddy Hield to start the season so expect some more news to come out of Sacramento in the coming days.
