The Spurs reopened their practice facilities on Tuesday, becoming the final NBA team to do so after the league wide shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Spurs encountered some obstacles that most other teams did not run into in regards to reopening their gym and practice facilities. According to GM Brian Wright, the team was working with city and county officials in order to ensure tests and supplies were sufficient. The Spurs did not want to use tests that would otherwise be needed by members of the community. Given coach Gregg Popovich's public statements in recent weeks and months, the team's generosity and cognizance of the social surroundings come as no surprise.
