While the Bulls have yet to say anything about Jim Boylen's future, multiple executives around the league expect him to be dismissed.
That is usually the case when a new front office arrives, and Chicago just hired a new VP of Basketball Ops and GM. It's being reported that Arturas Karnisovas is expected to bring in a coach of his choosing as he reworks the team, with Toronto's Adrian Griffin and Philadelphia's Ime Udoka among the named candidates. Boylen has brought in new assistants and helped the Bulls become a legitimately good defensive team, but overall there are too many questions about how young Bulls have developed under his tenure — to say nothing of a dismal record — to declare him safe in any way.
