Anthony Davis was named to the NBA All-Defensive First team on Tuesday, joining Giannis Antetokounmpo, Rudy Gobert, Marcus Smart and Ben Simmons.

It is hard to argue with the decisions made here with all five players putting together First-team worthy production on a consistent basis. It is the third First-team selection for Davis who missed out completely last season. Gobert gets his fourth straight nod, while Giannis is making his second straight appearance. Smart also makes it back-to-back appearances on the First-team, with Simmons being selected for the very first time.
