Onyeka OkongwuC, CollegeESPN’s Jonathan Givony is reporting that Onyeka Okongwu, a projected top-10 draft pick, has a fractured big left toe that will require 1-3 weeks of rest.
Okongwu’s availability for the season shouldn’t be affected, though the season is starting in just under five weeks, so he could be behind the eight ball in terms of conditioning. Routinely falling in the top-10 in mock drafts, and appearing as high as No. 3, it’ll be interesting to see if this late update impacts his draft stock at all. We wouldn’t think so, but this year figures to be completely unpredictable.
