Jakob Poeltl, who suffered a sprained right MCL at the end of February, says his knee is no longer a problem.
Speaking to Die Presse in his native Austria, Poeltl said, "Although I have no experience with knee injuries, I expect that I will have no problems if the season continues." Poeltl was initially expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks so it's not exactly a surprise to hear that he's healthy, but it's still good to confirm nonetheless. The big man is always an option for GMs in need of blocks and a boost in FG%, but he has been limited to 16.6 mpg on the year. As he heads into free agency, perhaps Poeltl will look for a larger role.
