Baxter Holmes of ESPN reports that some NBA general managers (GMs) have expressed concern about the welfare of high-risk coaches and staff, if the league were to resume before the Coronavirus pandemic is over.
The specific high-risk factor alluded to here is age. The Covid19 virus has so far exhibited a higher mortality rate in the elderly. Also, some of the other staff and coaches could have underlying conditions that put them at higher risk. All of these are factors that the league has to look into before it can properly strategize for a resumption of the 2019-20 season. As of now, we're bogged down with more questions and concerns than solutions and creative ideas at hand – leaving the idea of the season's resumption being on the questionable side of the line.
