While it had been reported that the Hawks could open their practice facility for individual workouts as early as Friday, GM Travis Schlenk said that there are no plans to do so.
Schlenk said, "We have not gotten anything official from the NBA yet… I can tell you though, if we do receive a memo between now and then, we currently have no plans to open up our facility on Friday." The NBA reportedly gave clearance to teams in cities and states with eased stay-at-home restrictions to open facilities on May 1, but the Hawks are going to take a more cautious approach. If Georgia's reopening goes well it's possible that the team opens things up quickly but Schlenk cautioned that the last thing they wanted was to jump right in and experience a second wave of COVID-19.
