Andre Drummond confirmed that he will exercise his player option for next season.
It's a no-brainer, as Drummond will now lock himself into $28.7 million next year. "I definitely will be in Cleveland," said the big man. Drummond's fantasy value tanked after he was traded to the Cavs, as although he finished with top-110/70 value (8/9-cat), he also spent a few weeks outside the top-150 as his minutes plummeted. A calf injury certainly didn't help matters, but Drummond averaged 28.1 minutes, 17.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.4 blocks and 3.6 turnovers per game with Cleveland, also going .547 from the field and .513 from the line in eight appearances. Not bad, but a far cry from the top-15 numbers Drummond pumped out with ease in Detroit — and some of these numbers were compiled while the team was shorthanded, too. We'll see if the Cavs decide to make a deal, as their frontcourt is looking pretty jammed with Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr. around, plus the possibility that the team re-signs Tristan Thompson this summer. If the Cavs bring back the whole crew it could be a frustrating fantasy situation, but we're a long ways off from those conversations.
