Welcome to my post-2026 NBA draft rookie dynasty rankings! I have LOVED scouting this year’s draft class. Of course, there are the four names at the top of the rankings: AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer, and Caleb Wilson, all whom project to be impactful fantasy players and high-end dynasty players. Boozer is the standout option for me and the clear-cut number one dynasty rookie pick, but the other three players are great options as well.
Then there are a slew of other intriguing names, namely all the talented guards. There is plenty of fantasy juice and upside throughout the top-20 of my rookie rankings. When I update my full dynasty rankings, I expect there to be roughly 10 rookies in my top-100 and and up to potentially 20 in my top-200. There is a ton of depth in this draft class, which means I wouldn’t be forcing any trades up in your rookie drafts (unless it is to try and get into the top-4). If anything, if you can move down a few slots and receive a decent asset back, I would recommend that in most circumstances, as you may not see a significant drop-off in the rookie you end up selecting. Use my tiers as a guide for your trades — if you are making a trade that drops you into a new tier, make sure you are receiving a significant enough asset to do so!
Once you get past spot 29 in my rookie rankings, things start to get ROUGH. Because of NIL attracting so much talent back to college, the prospects quickly thin out to specialists, role players without much fantasy upside, and long shots. I am certain some of these selections will have meaningful careers and make “spot impacts,” but it is hard to predict a ton of fantasy success. If you have any picks past 42 in your rookie draft, I would suggest trading them for proven NBA talent or recycling them into future drafts. I suspect roughly 35-40 rookies will make my top-350.
Remember! Show patience — we do not draft rookies for year-one production but instead for what their realistic 75% outcomes could look like in terms of fantasy production.

As a reminder, whenever I do my rankings, I tier players together. Players in the same tier are relatively closer to each other than those in different tiers. I didn’t get as granular in my rookie tiers, so don’t be surprised if there is further stratification when I present my overall dynasty rankings later in the summer. I still extended my rookie rankings to a top-70 this cycle, but I am “picking nits” at the end of the rankings.
