Shams Charania reports that the Hornets have selected Vernon Carey Jr. out of Duke with the 32nd pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Carey is a traditional center with good touch around the hoop but currently lacks the ability to stretch the floor. He'll compete for a frontcourt role that the Hornets have struggled to fill for some time. He could have some late-round value in the long term for deep fantasy leagues.
