The Lakers and shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are still in negotiations, but it has become a numbers game with the guard wanting a bump from the $8.4 million he opted out of from his previous contract.

KCP was an important piece of the Lakers' championship run last season, so it sounds like a smart idea that the team wants to bring him back for a repeat-performance, if possible. Things are still fluid this point, so stay tuned.
