Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports that the Hornets are expected to make a play for Gordon Hayward.

Those of you with long memories will note that Hayward signed an offer sheet from Charlotte way back in 2014, though it was eventually matched by the Jazz. The Hornets have some openings on the wing and Hayward definitely gives them a bit more star power, though it's unclear how they'll sort out a sign-and-trade. With Charlotte also tied to Russell Westbrook, it looks like they're exploring all options that will create some buzz around the team and potentially get them back in the playoff hunt.
