Christian WoodPF, Houston RocketsAccording to Adrian Wojanrowski of ESPN, Christian Wood has agreed to a three-year, $41 million contract with the Pistons that will land him on the Rockets via a sign-and-trade.
It seems like Wood will spend next season in Houston, after all. A report earlier Friday evening tabbed Wood agreeing to a $27 million deal with the Rockets over three seasons, but he will instead be receiving a larger payday and the Pistons will be able to get something in return. Wood emerged as a promising young player last season in 62 games for the Pistons, averaging 13.1 PTS and 6.3 REB in just 21.1 minutes per night. The Rockets are evidently trying to restock some height on their roster and Wood is solid young piece to start with.
