The Pistons are open to exploring trade scenarios for Derrick Rose, but are only interested in receiving a lottery level first round pick in return accoring to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

While we figured a Rose trade was a possibility, that initial asking price for his services seems counterintuitive to the market that actually exists for him: playoff teams. The chances of Detroit getting a top-14 pick for Rose seems slim to none, so perhaps they are just posturing here to try and bump his value up a bit more. This is a situation worth monitoring as the trade deadline approaches.
