Shams Charania reported on Saturday that the Nuggets are planning to promote assistant general manager Calvin Booth to the GM position.

Booth looks to be the favorite to replace Arturas Karnisovas, who left to become the Executive VP of Basketball Operations for the Bulls. Having a GM hired quickly will help the Nuggets plan for the draft and the offseason. Luckily it looks like they are closing in on Booth for the position.
