Tony Jones of The Athletic is reporting that the Jazz plan to reinsert Mike Conley as the starting point guard at some point in the future as they gear up for the playoffs.
While the Jazz have hit their stride while Conley was out and kept him in a smaller role since returning, this shouldn't come as a surprise. Utah bet big on Conley getting them over the hump, and if they intend to make a deep playoff run then they'll need Conley playing at a higher level than he has so far. Joe Ingles and Royce O'Neale are the candidates to move back to the bench, and Ingles in particular really struggled to produce worthwhile fantasy value when playing with a healthy Conley earlier in the year. As for Conley himself, he's been a massive disappointment with value outside the top-200. Hopefully he can turn it around down the stretch.
