The Mavs are targeting January 1 as the date that Kristaps Porzingis will resume on-court activity.

Porzingis, who underwent surgery to repair a torn MCL, has already been ruled out for the start of the 2020-21 NBA season. While the big man heals up and rehabs his knee, expect the Mavs to lean on Maxi Kleber to perform some of those stretch five duties. This timeline also makes it hard to trust Porzingis with an early-round fantasy draft pick on draft day.
