Marcus Smart failed to replicate his hot long-range shooting in Thursday's 104-103 loss, scoring 11 points on just 4-of-15 shooting (2-of-9 from 3-point range) while adding five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes.
Smart faltered in this contest but fortunately for the Celtics, they don't have to count on him to score to win games. As long as he's playing his typical brand of hard-nosed defense and not making too many bad decisions offensively, the Celtics have enough answers offensively to overcome a slow night like this. They almost did again in this game but OG Anunoby had other plans. Maybe we'll see another heat check night from Smart, but it wouldn't be smart to bank on it.
