Luka Doncic suffered a right ankle injury in practice on Thursday, but details are currently scarce.
We won't know the severity of his ankle injury until he undergoes further testing, but it bears mentioning that this is the same ankle that caused him to miss over a week of action earlier in the season. Additionally, Doncic had been feeling soreness in that same ankle in recent games, causing him to be listed as probable for the previous game. Right now, it's best to stand pat and await further news. J.J. Barea shared that the expectation is that the team will face the Rockets without him, but we'll know for sure if he travels with the team later today. Should Doncic have to miss time, the usage vacuum he'd create would open up tons of opportunity for Jalen Brunson, Delon Wright and Seth Curry, likely in that order.
