Landry Shamet will start Game 3 against the Mavs on Friday in place of an injured Patrick Beverley (left calf strain).

Coach Doc Rivers said himself earlier on Friday that Beverley was not going to play. The general expectation was that Reggie Jackson would step into the starting lineup in his place, but it's Shamet who gets the nod. Jackson figures to pick up plenty of minutes in Beverley's absence. The series is tied at a game apiece, so this become a big opportunity for the young guard out of Wichita State.
