Kawhi LeonardSF, Los Angeles ClippersKawhi Leonard barely broke a sweat in Thursday's Game 1 win over the Nuggets, scoring 29 points on 12-of-16 from the field in 32 minutes of action.
Leonard rounded his line out with three assists, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer, focusing most of his efforts on scoring tonight. Denver's defense was abysmal in their first-round victory over Utah, and they were shellacked tonight against a team that has more than one scoring threat. And with all due respect to Donovan Mitchell, Kawhi is a whole different beast. Paul George also chipped in 19 points on 6-of-13 from the field with seven boards, four assists, two steals and two threes while Marcus Morris put up 18 points on 7-of-10 from the floor with five rebounds, two steals and four threes. The Nuggets looked spent after a tough seven-gamer in round one and they've got a lot to fix up before this series gets out of hand.
