Jamal MurrayPG, Denver NuggetsJamal Murray lit up the Clippers during Tuesday's Game 7 victory, pouring in 40 points on an efficient 15-of-26 shooting, adding five assists, four rebounds and one steal in 45 minutes.
The Nuggets became the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-1 series deficit twice in the same season, accounting for a tired Clippers outfit. Murray went deep into his bag of tricks, dropping a game-high 40 points as his reputation continues to build. After a slow start, Murray scored at least 20 points in three consecutive games to end the series. The Nuggets now advance to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2009 when they coincidently also faced the Lakers. They will again be the rank outsiders, although based on what we have seen thus far during the playoffs, who's to say they can't cause another upset.
