This is good news for the NBA as there are multiple teams in the league call California their home state. That said, the league being a national sport with franchises across many states, there would need to be a broader consensus of loosening of protocols surrounding the protection of the public from the COVID-19 virus. All told, this is still an encouraging step in the right direction that the NBA will be able to resume the 2019-20 season this year.
