Denzel ValentineSF, Chicago BullsThe Bulls have extended a $4.7 million qualifying offer to Denzel Valentine, per The Athletic's Darnell Mayberry.
This one's a bit of a puzzler, as Valentine averaged just 13.6 mpg in 36 appearances last season after sitting out the entire 2018-19 campaign. That's quite a bit of money for a player who may not be in the rotation, but perhaps the organization's familiarity with Valentine helped him out in a period where new management could trade some players off the roster. Beyond that, $4.7 million is a salary number that can easily be included in other trades if the Bulls are really playing the long game.
