Gorgui Dieng had a few throwback weeks in 2019-20, posting middle-round value as a starter in place of Karl-Anthony Towns but finished with top-165/150 (8/9-cat) value overall.
Dieng was a legitimate top-100 option back in 2017 when he was getting big minutes, but since then he's been a depth player who gets minutes in the teens. A trade to a stacked Memphis frontcourt destroyed his fantasy appeal but we were able to see what type of production Dieng is still capable of. It's something to remember if he ever finds a larger role, but he'll only be a handcuff option until that happens. He averaged 7.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 1.0 blocks and a career-high 0.9 triples in 17.5 mpg in total.
