Derrick WhitePG, San Antonio SpursLargely a reserve guard this season, Derrick White was a fantasy headache as a top-140/130 per game player (8-cat/9-cat) who received 24.1 mpg.
This has to be a worst-case scenario for White, who started just 13 games as a result of Gregg Popovich's refusal to start White alongside Dejounte Murray for the majority of the season. On March 6 he finally entered the starting unit alongside Murray, and by March 9 Murray was knocked out of the lineup with a calf strain. This year was a mess, but it is hard to resist targeting White in the standard league drafts again next season. He averaged 10.4 PTS, 3.4 ASTS, 3.2 REBS, 0.9 3PTS, 0.6 STLS and 0.9 BLKS per contest. His percentages were solid at .459 from the field and .857 from the line, plus 1.2 turnovers is a boost in 9-CAT formats. The Spurs have every reason to get their young guards together on the court at the same time, and any increase in playing time will move White up the rankings.
