Nathan Baker delivers to managers three sparsely owned pick ups for today, including two players providing top-of-their-position production.
MLB Fantasy Pass
Anthony’s Fantasy Baseball Week in Review – July…
The week in review covers all the starts by the starting pitchers, what the bullpens did (saves, holds-wise), how did the offense perform (runs scored, walks, strikeouts) and who stood out with the bat, if anyone did. It's guaranteed to be 4000 or more words and will cover pretty much every main fantasy statistic and impact players. And it comes at you every week.
Pickups of the Day for July 29th
The big league trade deadline is this week and, in many fantasy leagues, is coming up in the next week or two as well. But, if you can't find yourself a willing trade partner, I am here to tell you that the waiver wire is always willing to trade it's value for your failing players. So let's take a look into that wonderful sea of available players and see if we can find a few that can help you along the way.
Weather Impacts on Your Fantasy Players (July 29…

Risers & Fallers: All Pitching Edition
About two months ago I was putting my Risers & Fallers article together and it ended up coming out to all hitters on the rise and all hitters on the fall, so I thought that it was about time the pitcher received the same treatment.
How should you value Fernando Tatis Jr.?
Since his major league debut 2019, Fernando Tatís Jr. performed like a superstar, posting over 6.4 fWAR per 162 games throughout parts of five seasons. After missing all of 2022 through injury and suspension, Tatís Jr. found a new home in right field, winning the platinum glove in his first full season at the position. His bat was not as potent last year, primarily due to an increase in chase resulting in a substantially worse on-base percentage, but he still hit 25 home runs and stole 29 bases. In 2024, he’s made strides with the bat, and far more significantly than what meets the eye at a glance.
Pickups of the Day for July 26th
At this point of the season, we've seen enough of most players to get a firm idea of their abilities and to form concrete ideas about their fantasy value. Well, I'm here to tell you to throw everything you know out the window!
Pickups of the Day for July 25th
Three pickups for today, starting with a gut-feel recommendation of mine from a couple weeks ago, as well as a couple of high ceiling options really starting to heat up. And no, as much as I’d love to gloat about Lawrence Butler, I won’t be including him again. (Pick him up in all formats if you haven’t already)
Pickups of the Day for July 24th
Chris Rossi delivers mid-week waiver pickups to help you down the stretch and in the playoffs. This week, we have a couple of top prospects and a new closer in LA.
Pickups of the Day for July 23rd
We're back to a regular schedule of full days on Tuesday and Wednesday on the diamond. As August nears, the waiver wire always gets thin, but injuries rarely slow so you need to find replacements somehow. This is also a point in the fantasy baseball season where managers start to lose interest as their team is struggling, so they may not be combing the wire looking for help, which provides opportunities for those of us who are still active.
Pickups of the Day for July 22nd
It's the first Monday after the All-Star break, the MLB trade deadline is less than ten days away and the second half of the season is moving at full throttle. That means it is time to start to really buckle down and spend some time on the waiver wire, to find some lesser owned players who could turn out to be second-half gold. I've got four names today that I hope all have a little bit of that gold on them.
