The Broncos are making a surprising push for a potential playoff spot, while the Patriots are making a (maybe not so) surprising push for a top pick in the 2024 NFL draft. I’m not sure what the schedule makers were thinking of putting this game on Sunday Night, and I’m even more confused as to why they didn’t flex this game out when they had the chance. Either way, eyes will be on this primetime game mostly due to fantasy playoff implications. Or if you’re a Pats or Broncos fan (sorry about that).

    Main Storylines to Watch

Anyone in New England we can trust?: The short answer here is “no.” The long answer is “probably not.” Then there’s the real answer of “Maybe there’s one or two?”. It’s been tough sledding for this season, and there’s been rumblings about the organization hitting a total reset. That said, I’ll try to take a look and see if there’s anyone worth rolling out in what’s surely the most important fantasy football matchup you’ve had all season (until you reach the championship game next week because you’re subscribed to SportsEthos fantasy football pass).

Can Courtland Sutton keep scoring touchdowns?: It’s been the best part of their offense this season. The Patriots have given up their fair share of receiving touchdowns this season, so it’s a good spot for Sutton to score yet again. New England’s defense isn’t as formidable as it once was, so the Broncos can have their way with this defense as they please. They’ll be able to move the ball on the ground, through the air, and probably even on defense with some turnovers. Touchdowns are the hardest thing to predict in sports, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
