Both teams are coming off overtime wins that saw them rally from behind late. The road team this Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts, went on the road to beat the Titans. The team who is hosting this matchup, the Cincinnati Bengals won an away game in Jacksonville on Monday night. These teams are jockeying for playoff position in the AFC. Indy is currently in the seventh and final playoff spot and the Bengals are on the outside looking in sitting one game back.

    Main Storylines to Watch

Battle of the backups: At this point in the 2023 season, there are quite a few QB2’s, and even QB3’s, who are starting for their teams due to injury. Gardner Minshew has been 5-3 in starts after taking over for Anthony Richardson due to a season ending shoulder injury. The veteran has been around a while, so we know what he is. A backup capable of winning ballgames and producing some exciting plays. On the other side, Jake Browning recently got promoted after Joe Burrow underwent season ending wrist surgery. Browning is set to make his third career start. He posted a couple of respectable stat lines, including the aforementioned win last week where he threw for over 350 yards. One guy has earned the respect of his peers, the other looks to continue to make a case for his teammates trust.
