NFL FantasyPass: Week 1 Waiver Wire Adds

By Shane McCormick Published September 3, 2023 Updated September 4, 2023 1 min read

Many fantasy football managers have completed their drafts by now. But that doesn’t mean you should just be waiting until Week 1 to get here to make adjustments to your roster.

Some players always end up not getting drafted and are immediately sitting there under your available players list. Don’t wait to pick these players up though, as they could be primed to be an add after Week 1. Get them now while there isn’t much competition for their services, so you don’t blow your waiver priority or free-agent acquisition budget (FAAB).

I’m looking at the past week’s draft results from NFC (National Fantasy Championships) High Stakes 12-man team drafts (16 rounds) to identify players who have not been drafted.

NFC Drafts September

Deon Jackson (Indianapolis Colts)

It was recently reported that Zack Moss (broken arm) will not be back until week two or three of the season and that Deon Jackson would be starting Week 1. In the three games he filled in for Jonathan Taylor last year, Jackson was RB21. Jackson will still share some carries with Evan Hull, but he will at least be given the opportunity to separate himself from Hull to start the year.
