Debuting the NFC West matchups, the Rams visit Seattle in Week 1 looking to bounce back from a horrific 2022 that saw the team devasted by injury. The Seahawks swept the Rams last year, but the margin of victory is not what you might expect given one team made the playoffs and the other finished with only five wins. The Rams will be without star WR Cooper Kupp, but QB Matt Stafford and DL Aaron Donald might bring enough star power to make the contest close.

Main Storylines to Watch

Can the Rams offense survive sans Kupp? An evaluation of last year’s Rams offense would do no good in showing what things will be like this year. Kupp missed time last year, but this time Stafford will still be in at QB. His arsenal of targets has several less powerful options including Tyler Higbee and Van Jefferson. No doubt it will not be easy, but the Seahawks defense left some to be desired last year and may allow the Rams to stay on schedule with an experienced passer at the helm.

Seahawks touch distribution. After adding WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba and RB Zach Charbonnet in the draft, many are wondering what this means for the established pieces of the Seattle offense. Will Lockett or DK find themselves starved out to make way for the rookie pass catcher? Will Charbonnet steal the spotlight from RB Ken Walker III after a stellar rookie campaign? Fantasy managers will need to monitor snap counts and target share to make informed decisions on how this offense might play out throughout the year.
