  • Philadelphia Eagles @ New England Patriots Lines Available

    Eagles(-205) @ Patriots(+170): O/U 45.0
    Eagles -4.0 (-110), Patriots +4.0(-110)

The New England Patriots open their season at home as underdogs against the Philadelphia Eagles on a day they are honoring ex-Patriots’ QB Tom Brady. The Eagles look to get off to a fast start this year after losing in the Super Bowl in the previous season. The Patriots hope to honor Brady well and win one as revenge for the Eagles win over Brady in the Super Bowl LII.

    Main Storylines to Watch

How does the Patriots’ offense improve from 2022? Bill O’Brien took over the offensive coordinator for the Patriots in 2023. Mac Jones looked like he regressed in his second year as a starter under the previous offensive coaching staff. If Bill O’Brien can continue to develop Jones, it could open up the pass game and allow the running game more rushing lanes as defenses have to respect the pass.

Will any Eagles running back stand out from the crowd? The Eagles are projected to be a top-tier offense in the NFL this year. The passing game is pretty set. Fantasy owners will start Jalen Hurts at QB, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith at WR, and Dallas Goedert at TE. The running back room has good talent, but it is very hard to predict who will be the leader in the room. With the Eagles projected as an explosive offense, the running back position could be very valuable if someone earns a consistent role.
