Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets Best Lines Available
Bills (-125) @ Jets (+114): O/U 44.5
Billy -2 (-110), Jets +2.5 (-115)We have a big one for our first Monday Night Football game. We have two super bowl hopeful teams with one of them having a drastically different roster from last season in the Jets. The Jets may have new faces, but they are veteran faces, and when it comes to the wide receiver room it’s not all that new to newly minted Jets starting QB Aaron Rodgers. These are guys he asked to bring over. Can they gel in a way to bring them on the level with the returning players for Buffalo?
Main Storylines to Watch
Which receivers will be targeted by Aaron Rodgers? We’re all expecting big things from Garrett Wilson, but will Rodgers target Allen Lazard or Randall Cobb in the red zone? Will he trust Tyler Conklin? We will have to wait and see, but Rodgers didn’t ask to bring these receivers over to ignore them. We will be watching extra closely when the Jets get to the 30 yard line and in.
Running back room blues. Breece Hall was looking solid early in the offseason until he wasn’t. Enter Dalvin Cook, who is reportedly expected to see the majority of the carries in the early part of the season, according to Ian Rapoport. Cook may get the early road to extra touches, but what will be the quality of those touches? Where will they come on the field and in the downs?
Goal-line vulture have us Cooked? James Cook was one of the running backs who rose straight up draft boards as people saw his usage in preseason. That came screaming to a halt when Damien Harris got a goal-line carry that had Cook’s name on it. If we take away some of his touchdown upside, will Cook pay off at ADP? Let’s see how involved Harris is here in a game that should have several touchdowns.
