Week 4 TNF Fantasy Recap

  • Dolphins 15, Bengals 27 (Bengals covered -4, U 47)

In a game that was expecting some fireworks, an incredibly scary injury to Tua Tagovailoa stole the spotlight and the entire NFL world held their collective breath.  Outside of the injury, neither team put on much of a show, as both offenses struggled mightily through the first three quarters. The Bengals handed the Dolphins their first loss of the season, while the Bengals bumped their record to .500 through four weeks.

    QB

Tua Tagovailoa:  It was a scary scene right before halftime. Tagovailoa was sacked and had his back and head forcefully smash into the ground, with only his one elbow slightly breaking his fall.  Within seconds it was clear that Tua had suffered a substantial brain injury.  The stretcher was brought out and he was immediately taken to the hospital.  He was not very successful passing the ball prior to the injury, but his stats are the least of the concerns for anyone at this point.  Luckily, he was released from the hospital during the night and has since been flown back to Miami.  Teddy Bridgewater stepped in and looked good, passing for 193 yards, one touchdown and one pick in the second half.

    RB

Chase Edmonds & Raheem Mostert: After four weeks, the Miami backfield is becoming much more clear. Each week, Mostert is getting more and more touches and a higher snap percentage, while Edmonds is, shockingly, becoming the red zone and goal line back. Edmonds only touched the ball seven times, scoring once and dropping another easy touchdown in the corner of the end zone. He rushed five times for six yards and caught two passes for 14 yards.  Meanwhile, Mostert handled the majority of rushes out of the backfield, scampering for 69 yards on 15 attempts. He also had a pair of catches for 12 yards.
