Week 4 MNF Fantasy Preview

  • Rams (+2)  vs. 49ers (-125): O/U:42.5

    Rams

    QB

Matthew Stafford:  Stafford has not had the most impressive start to the season so far.  Outside of his strong Week 3 performance, he has turned in a pair of two very underwhelming games.  Fantasy GMs may want to consider a viable streaming option with Stafford being paired with the top-ranked passing defense in the NFL on Monday night.  Through three weeks, Stafford ranks as the QB23 and has averaged less than 14 fantasy points per game.  He is a borderline drop candidate in standard leagues, with there being so many other great QBs out there for fantasy GMs to consider.

    RB

Cam Akers & Darrell Henderson Jr.: The two backs have had ups and downs through the season so far.  Akers was nearly non-existent through the first two games of the year, with Henderson handling the bulk of the workload.  In Week 3, it was Akers who out-rushed Henderson by a count of 12 to four, and added his first touchdown of the season.  This Week 4 matchup should determine who is going to be the lead back going forward, with Akers being the more likely of the two to take that role, but neither are great options against the fourth-best rushing defense in the NFL.
